Titanfall 2 Execution on Display in New Video

Titanfall 2 Execution on Display in New Video

Video game developer Respawn Entertainment releases a short trailer for Titanfall 2 that offers fans a look at one of the Titan’s moves and powerful executions.

Now that Respawn Entertainment has officially revealed all six Titan classes in a recent trailer, the studio has decided to give Titanfall 2 fans a closer look at one mech in particular’s abilities by detailing its weaponry and focusing on an execution move. In order to do so, the developer has now put out a short gameplay video featuring the Titan known as Legion’s moves to show off the potency of its mini-gun.

As seen in the video below, Titanfall 2‘s official Twitter account has attached footage detailing Legion’s use of the Predator Cannon, which is defined by two different modes that include long-range and auto-lock. Apparently, the former option operates similarly to regular gun, as players will simply aim the weapon at enemies and pull the trigger. Conversely, auto-lock is pretty self-explanatory as it seems to be akin to a special ability that allows Titan pilots to hit enemies by only aiming in the baddie’s general direction.

Furthermore, Titanfall 2‘s Legion can utilize its Gun Shield for protection during combat, as the defensive ability can be active while blasting enemies, but unfortunately, it doesn’t offer total security, as it only covers the front of the Titan, leaving it susceptible to attacks from the sides and from behind. The video also details the Predator Cannon’s Powershot, which is essentially a boosted shot that dishes out heavy doses of damage to any adversary in its path. Not to mention, the barrel of Legion’s cannon can lift an opposing Titan in the air while still shooting it, resembling a full-fledged execution.

Considering the fact that most Titanfall 2 fans are already familiar with the Titans known as Ion and Scorch — they were primarily featured in each of the game’s recent pre-alpha multiplayer tests — it’s safe to presume players will get a better idea of the other mechs with individual trailers suited to their strengths. Of course, with Ronin having gotten a reveal in an E3 2016 trailer, it’s possible that the sword-based class won’t get any further coverage.

In addition to this specific focus on Titanfall 2‘s recently revealed Legion mech, Respawn Entertainment has also made fans aware of the fact that the first post-launch content for the game will be Angel City, which happens to be a popular map from the initial entry in the franchise. Those players who decide to pre-order Titanfall 2 will gain access to the map three days early, which will then go on to become available to everyone, as all future DLC for the game will be free.

What do you think about Legion’s abilities and execution-styled move in Titanfall 2‘s latest trailer? Which Titan is your favorite so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Titanfall 2 is set to release on October 28, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
