If the record-setting pre-orders of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are anything to go by, Pokemon‘s popularity is still as strong as ever as the franchise enters into its third decade. While most players will have to wait one more week before the official release of the games, some players have already managed to get their hands on a copy thanks to the leak of several retail copies. As it is with these kind of leaks, a number of story and gameplay spoilers have started hitting the internet, the latest being a list of Pokemon Sun and Moon‘s version-exclusive Pokemon.
In a new post over in the Pokemon subreddit, Reddit user VanitaLite has revealed that Sun players will be getting the fighting-type lemur Passimian, the fire/dragon-type turtle Turtonator, the Midday form of the rock-type wolf Lycanroc, the first of the Ultra Beasts, UB-02 Absorption, and the game’s signature legendary creature Solgaleo.
As for Moon owners, players will be able to get their hands on the psychic orangutan Oranguru, the Chinese dragon Drampa, the second of the Ultra Beasts, UB-02 Beauty, the Midnight form of Lycanroc, and the game’s own signature legendary creature Lunala.
The version-exclusive Pokemon are not just limited to new Sun and Moon creatures, with some old-school Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow monsters making a comeback into the exclusivity realm. Sun owners will be able to enjoy the Alolan variants of Vulpix and Ninetails while Moon owners can get their hands the Alolan forms of Sandshrew and Sandslash.
With the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo being downloaded over 3.5 million times since its release last month, anticipation is sky-high for the upcoming games and the leak of so much new information has only served to increase the hype. While getting a leaked copy of the games is out of the question, eager players can pre-download Sun and Moon now and get straight into it come November 18.
Players are undoubtedly itching to get started on a new adventure in the Aloha region, and with this new leak of version-exclusive Pokemon, gamers will now have another factor to take into consideration when deciding whether to buy either Sun or Moon come next week.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are scheduled for launch on November 18, 2016 for Nintendo 2DS and 3DS.
