Steam Autumn Sale Is Live With New PC Game Discounts

Valve’s digital gaming distribution platform, Steam, officially begins its annual Autumn Sale, offering a plethora of discounts for a wide variety of PC titles.

Following Steam‘s major overhaul to its store with Discovery update 2.0, Valve’s digital marketplace for video games has officially begun its annual Autumn Sale event, with this year’s discounts including some of 2016’s top titles, along with myriad other fan-favorites that are available for incredibly low prices. For those unaware, the Steam Autumn Sale began yesterday and is set to run until November 29.

As is to be expected, the Steam Autumn Sale has Valve marking down game prices left and right, with bargains being extended to more than 12,000 titles in the platform’s absolutely massive library. With this being the case, some gaming fans might not have as much time as others to sort through the deep discounts that the company is applying to its wide variety of releases, so we’ve decided to give a brief rundown of some of the best offers available in the annual event.

For starters, one of the first eye-catching games that’s been made a part of the Steam Autumn Sale is Bethesda and id Software’s fast-paced FPS DOOM, which has had its price drop from $59.99 to $19.79. Of course, should fans be looking for a title outside of the shooter genre, one can always capitalize on saving half-off CD Projekt Red’s critically-acclaimed open world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for $19.99. If either of those titles don’t seem to be anyone’s cup of tea, follow along below for a list of other noteworthy games that have had their prices slashed.

Naturally, though, not everyone is solely looking for marked down prices on software, as there are surely loads of gamers in the marketplace for hardware with much lower prices than usual. Thankfully, with the holiday shopping season in full swing, there are a sufficient amount of Black Friday video game deals going on right now that include reductions on consoles such as the PS4 Slim, Xbox One S, Nintendo 3DS XL, and lots more.

Taking all of this into consideration, the Fall season is certainly one of the greatest times to be a gamer, for not only do fans get to encounter deep cuts to the typically expensive costs of hardware and software, but also the colder climates are more conducive to staying inside and burning through an entire catalog of releases. With any luck, the Steam Winter Sale will reduce the prices of its wares even further after Autumn wraps up this year and continue to keep gamers’ spirits warm.

The Steam Autumn Sale is live now and ends on November 29, 2016.
