Zelda: Breath of the Wild Gets a Japanese TV Trailer

Nintendo’s forthcoming open world role-playing game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, receives an official television trailer for the country of Japan.

With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild having just recently gone gold, it’s safe to say that there plenty of fans of Nintendo’s long-running franchise who can’t wait until the beginning of next month so they can get their hands on a copy of the upcoming game in the series. Now, in order to intensify fans’ already eager excitement for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Big N has put together an official TV trailer for the game to be shown to Japanese audiences in the country’s televised media.

As seen below in the trailer courtesy of Nintendo, while the Japan TV trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is short – the spot runs for a mere 30 seconds, to be exact – it manages to encompass practically all of the aspects of the forthcoming game that have appealed to fans so far, while also revealing even more bits of footage that have yet to be seen. For instance, there are some rather intesne action sequences to be enjoyed, with one featuring Link fighting a sand monster, while another segment shows him doing battle with a fire-breathing enemy.

Of course, the Japanese TV trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild wouldn’t be complete without showing off some of the game’s breathtakingly gorgeous environments, landscapes, and settings. For example, in one brief moment in the advertisement, Link and his horse – not Epona, unfortunately – blaze a trail across a rock-strewn beach with a beautiful sun setting in the background.

With Breath of the Wild being one of the flagship titles for Nintendo Switch and also coming out as the company’s last Wii U game, it’s obvious that the aforementioned visuals are a part of the Big N’s plan to put out as spectacular-looking a game as possible with the next entry in the Zelda franchise to celebrate the former console’s debut and to send the latter system off with a bang. However, although the graphics do indeed look great in the Japanese TV trailer, it’s the grandiose, sweeping score accompanying the video that truly shines the brightest.

All things considered, now that there’s only a little more than two weeks left to wait for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to hit store shelves, fans ought to expect to see even more promotional materials make their way onto TV and the Web until the game’s release date. Thankfully, should fans continue to crave more Breath of the Wild clips until the next trailer or video comes out, Nintendo has already provided a plethora of gameplay footage to tide fans over before its launch.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release on March 3, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
