Destiny Guide: Sing the Iron Song Achievement Guide

Destiny: Rise of Iron holds many secrets for players to discover, and thanks to a number of fans on Reddit, a secret achievement has been revealed. Here’s how to unlock it.

It’s well known that the development studio Bungie loves to hide easter eggs and other secrets within its games. The Halo franchise really kicked this behavior off with hidden skulls within its each mission of the campaign. Finding these skulls would unlock different modifiers players could use to change their gameplay experience including reducing the frequency of ammo drops, increasing enemy health, along with goofier options such as headshot kills that resulted in confetti shooting out as children cheered in the background.

In the two years it has been available, Destiny has also been a veritable treasure trove of hidden content and secrets. Players have discovered everything from hidden basketball courts to actual weapons, like the Black Spindle exotic sniper rifle, that can only be unlocked when a specific quest is set as the daily story mission.

With the latest and last expansion called Rise of Iron now out on store shelves for Destiny, players have already begun to unearth more hidden secrets and previously unseen levels. Already, players have been pouring over the current Crucible maps to locate recently added and hidden ghosts, taking advantage of the recently added ability to create private matches to quickly unlock each of the 27.

The new Iron Temple location also holds many secrets, including an easily missable hidden achievement which was found and detailed by users on Reddit. For players interested in unlocking it, here’s exactly how to earn the Sing the Iron Song achievement.

Playing The Song

Once the new Iron Temple social space has been unlocked in the campaign, players can head inside to see a number of bells which can be interacted with. To unlock the achievement, players will need to play the Rise of Iron theme song using the bells. Unfortunately, doing this solo is nearly impossible, as one of the bells is in a completely separate part of the temple, ruining the timing needed to pull this off.

With at least two players, guardians will need to play each bell in the following order: 1,2,3,1,5 – 4,3,2,3,1,3,4. Alternatively, some are reporting that this bell order works as well: 1,2,3,1,5 – 4,3,2,3,1

If done correctly, players will hear a sweeping musical tone, followed by the achievement unlock.

Bell Locations

The bells each have a distinct tone from one another representing different pitches like E flat and F natural. Some may be able to figure this out based on the sound alone, but for those who are not so musically inclined, these are the bell locations in the Iron Temple.

Bell number 1 is located by itself up the stairs to the left of the other four bells.

Bell number 2, 3, and 4 are together in the hallway to the right of bell 1 with bell 2 being the first of the four in this room and the rest following after it in order.
