Fallout 4's Santa Claus Wears Power Armor with Mini-Gun

One Fallout 4 fan spreads Christmas cheer across the Commonwealth by making a video with a Santa Claus that wears power armor and shoots a candy cane-painted mini-gun.

Santa Claus has made his list and checked it twice, and as is evidenced in YouTuber Tyrannicon’s new Fallout 4 video, Kris Kringle won’t just be finding out who’s naughty or nice, but he also intends on punishing those who misbehave with his power armor suit and candy cane mini-gun. With the use of numerous mods — all of which are listed in the clip’s description on YouTube — the Fallout 4 fan has put together a delightfully deranged Christmas special starring a vigilante St. Nick that depicts what the holiday might look like in the world of Bethesda’s popular post-apocalyptic RPG.

The YouTuber’s tidings of good cheer are only supplanted by Bethesda itself, as the studio has programmed some holiday themed Easter eggs into the game all its own. To be specific, when the in-game calendar rolls over to December 25, players will find that the patrons of Diamond City are celebrating the special time of year, as the former Fenway Park’s halls have been decked out with Christmas decorations.

Even so, the footage from Tyrannicon seen below is definitely worth a watch, as it shows the power armor-clad Santa saving the day in different scenarios using weapons like the aforementioned mini-gun, the enemy-freezing Cryolator, a snowball-launching Broadsider, as well as a giant candy cane. What’s more, the video’s music creates a disturbingly jolly atmosphere with Edward Pola’s, Andy Williams’, and George Wyle’s Christmas classic “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” playing while Raiders and baddies get brutal beat downs.

This is far from the first Fallout 4 video that Tyrannicon has put together, but it may be his most ambitious. At any rate, one of his more popular YouTube clips centered around the title has featured 1,000 Deathclaws versus 100 Brotherhood of Steel knights, while another pitted 50 murderous Generation 2 Synths against a rabble of 50 Raiders in a 100-person fight to the death. As it happens, Tyrannicon’s been recording in-game battles for a while and has gotten quite good at it, for he’s also made Skyrim videos almost 4 years ago that had NPCs squaring off against one another in large-scale skirmishes.

On top of Tyrannicon’s Yuletide observance, there are other ways for gaming fans to celebrate the season with the flair of Fallout 4. About a month ago, Bethesda started selling real-life Vault Boy bobblehead Christmas tree ornaments for folks to spruce up their holiday perennial and show others their love for the retro-futuristic title. The knickknacks are still on sale, but a ridiculously rushed delivery would be required if fans wish to hang them up before Christmas is over. That said, it’s probably not something most people would want to bother with considering how little time is left before the holiday actually starts. However, there’s always next year to think about.

What did you think about Tyrannicon’s Fallout 4 video starring Wasteland Santa? Did it make you want to spend the rest of December exploring the action-RPG for extra gifts and goodies? Let us know what you thought in the comments below.

Fallout 4 is out now and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
