Ghost Recon: Wildlands Releases a Live Action Trailer

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Releases a Live Action Trailer

Ubisoft reveals live action trailer for its upcoming open-world shooter Ghost Recon: Wildlands that shows off the game’s stealth action in a creative, entertaining way.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is without a doubt one of the most highly-anticipated titles of the year. Ubisoft’s open-world title looks to reinvigorate and reinvent many aspects of the much-beloved Ghost Recon franchise, including giving players more options when it comes to eliminating targets by letting them choose between all-out assaults or quiet, efficient stealth.

Part of Ubisoft’s marketing for Ghost Recon: Wildlands has been to show off the different ways players can tackle objectives. This has extended into a new live-action trailer for Ghost Recon: Wildlands that gives fans a brief look at the efficacy of a silent sniper approach to the mission.

The trailer from Ubisoft, which can be seen above, opens with a group of men playing cards in a dark room, oblivious of what’s happening around them. A cat sits idly by, disinterested in what’s happening in the room, at least until a red laser dot shows up. The cat starts to chase after the dot, and since this is a trailer for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, viewers have a pretty good idea the source of that little red dot: a sniper rifle.

We won’t spoil the surprise for viewers, but suffice it to say, the finale of the short live-action trailer is definitely worthy of the Ghost Recon name. It’s also enough to get gamers excited for the endless possibilities available in Ghost Recon: Wildlands to search out and eliminate targets.

Based on this and other trailers and gameplay footage revealed so far, it’s exciting to see that the NPC characters in the game carry on with their work as they would in real life. This offers a bit of extra immersion for players as they try to figure out the best way to take down a target and cause mayhem in the dangerous lands of Bolivia.

While the game doesn’t release until the beginning of March, gamers will get a chance to experience a little of Ghost Recon: Wildlands via the upcoming beta. No official date for the beta has been revealed, but considering Ubisoft will likely want to receive feedback from players after the beta and implement any needed changes before release, the beta will likely happen toward the end of January or the early part of February.

Until then, gamers can check out the handful of trailers revealed for the game, including the impressive customization trailer that shows how players will be able to customize their weapons and gear to their liking and play style.
