For Honor PC Specs Revealed

Ubisoft announces the official minimum and recommended PC specifications to play For Honor, as well as a large list of compatible controller peripherals.
Gamers who are eager to get their hands on the upcoming For Honor have plenty to look forward to, with the closed beta just around the corner and final release following soon after. Ubisoft has now released the official specifications gamers will need to meet or surpass in order to play the game on the PC.
For Honor‘s minimum and recommended specifications are fairly accessible, which should allow for gamers with mid-range and above gaming systems to enjoy the game. However, Ubisoft’s recommended specifications are based around players keeping VSync off, so players who want the best visual experience and a solid 60 FPS will probably need a better PC build than what Ubisoft is recommending.

In addition to the game’s requirements, gamers will be pleased to know that Ubisoft has set up the game for a wide variety of controllers and peripherals. For Honor will fully support Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox One Elite gamepads, as well as the PS4 original and pro controllers. The game will also offer partial support to all third party Xbox-compatible controllers, PS3 controllers, the Logitech Chillstream, the Steam controller, and even the OUYA controller.
Gamers who find that they’ll have to resort to playing on a console will be glad to know that For Honor will offer a form of metagame cross-system play. The recently-announced Faction War will allow the three character factions – Knights, Samurai, and Vikings – to face off in a war encompassing the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions. In the final release of the game, players will be able to participate by choosing between For Honor‘s twelve fighter classes, and fight to help their faction gain the upper hand against the opposing two. At the end of the war, the wins and losses will be tallied, determining which faction came out on top. During the beta, the same Faction War mode will be available, with nine fighter classes to choose from.
Although Ubisoft has offered very detailed information regarding what players will need to be able to enjoy For Honor, gamers who want to try it out on their PCs for themselves should sign up for the upcoming For Honor beta. The closed beta will be held between January 26th and January 29th, and should offer a good demonstration of what the final experience will be like, considering that For Honor‘s alpha test was the biggest Ubisoft has held for any game yet.
For Honor has quite a fanbase already, earning a spot on Game Rant’s list of Most Anticipated Games of 2017. Thankfully, its approachable PC specs should allow nearly all PC gamers an opportunity to decide whether the game lives up to the hype.
For Honor will release on February 14 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
