Declaration of Faith
What We Believe
We believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God, inspired by God in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, a complete and final written revelation from God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe that there is only one God, who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons: Our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of Christ. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
We believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and by his merciful grace, and not by any human merit or performance. (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. First, Jesus will come for His church, the resurrection and rapture of believers, when He catches us up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Later, He will return with His church and all the holy angels to the earth in power and great glory At that time, He will defeat all evil and opposition, establish His righteous kingdom, and reign as King of kings forever in righteousness and peace. This is our blessed hope and the promise that anchors our faith. (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:4-6)
We believe that every person is uniquely valuable because God created us in His own image. This means we reflect His character in our ability to love, create, reason, and relate to others comes from Him. God created humanity as male and female, distinct yet complementary, designed to live in relationship with Him and with one another. From the beginning, He entrusted us with the joy and responsibility of caring for His creation and building families and communities that honor Him. (Genesis 1:26-28)
We believe that human beings were designed with a specific purpose: to be in relationship with our Creator. God endowed humanity with the unique ability to recognize His voice, respond to His love, and offer Him worship. True worship is not limited to a specific time or style; it is a spiritual intersection where the divine heart of God and the surrendered heart of a believer come together in intimacy, aligning our lives with His will and presence. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37, Psalm 95:6, John 4:23-24)
We believe marriage is a sacred gift from God, designed as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. It is more than a legal contract, it is a holy promise that binds the two before God and others. Within this committed union, sexual intimacy is a beautiful expression of love, trust, and unity. God designed sex to be enjoyed fully and safely only within the boundaries of faithful, heterosexual marriage, where it strengthens the bond between husband and wife. (Genesis 2:24)
We believe that when you put your faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside you, making your body His temple. We believe that at the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer, sealing us as God’s children and guaranteeing our eternal inheritance. This isn’t just a one-time event; it’s a lifelong relationship. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to every believer, empowering us to live with courage, love, and purpose. If you belong to Jesus Christ, this promise is for you today and always. (Acts 2:38-39)
We believe that Jesus Chirst willingly gave His life as a sacrifice for us and died in our place to take the punishment we deserved for our sin (Matthew 20:28; John 10:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). The cross is where God’s love and God’s justice meet. Because of Jesus Chirst, we can be pardoned, made right with God, and welcomed into His family. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross laid the foundation on which a righteous God could pardon guilty and sinful people without compromising His righteousness in any way.
